Building my homelab
I am Austin Hines, currently a high school senior focused on cybersecurity and especially cloud security. I am working on building my skills by doing hands on labs, certifications, and real in world IT experience. I have been learning how systems work, what makes them fail and different ways to secure and protect them. This site is where I will document my projects, homelabs and what I am doing as I progress into my security career.
What I'm working on
I am building cybersecurity foundations through certifications, hands-on projects, and coding. Here is what I am currently focused on right now.
Python automation & scripting
I have learned to build Python scripts to automate tasks I can use in my day to day life. I am always interested in learning more and pushing the limits of what coding can do.
Home lab (jellyfin)
I run a small homelab where I am learning setup, maintenance and troubleshooting. Right now it is centered around Jellyfin and I will be expanding it over time.
IT Foundations
I have earned my CompTIA Tech+ and I'm continuing to build stronger fundamentals in hardware, operating systems, troubleshooting and security basics as I word toward a career in cybersecurity.
